My journey into HEMA-Free gel polish began in October 2024 after an unexpected and painful incident. I accidentally dropped a bottle of gel polish, and it shattered, covering my hands especially my left hand. Even though I washed up quickly, my hands still felt sticky, but I was in a hurry, and I put on nitrile gloves to finish a set of press-ons that I had taken me nearly 10 hours to complete. Unbeknownst to me, the chemicals in the gel polish were slowly burning my skin during those 10 hours and caused 2nd degree burns. What followed was a grueling three months of healing from chemical burns, during which I also developed an allergy to gel polishes, determined to find a solution, I delved into researching HEMA-free gel polishes and other chemicals that often cause sensitivities over time. After extensive exploration, I discovered a vendor offering gel polishes free from these harmful ingredients, like HEMA, HPMA, TPO, Optical Brighteners and TMPTA, enabling me to create my very own brand of safter, skin-friendly gel polishes. As a regular person balancing a 9-to-5 job, I started small and rolling out new colors gradually, However, I've ensured the basics as well as the essential shades I personally needed back when I was searching for Hema free products. My hope is to share this journey with you and grow my line of Hema Free and now TPO free polishes together, helping others avoid the pain and challenges I faced.
